Greetings from a member of the extended family. I've just started reading your magnum opus and wanted to congratulate you and express my appreciation of your hard work.

I was brought up - and my parents still live in - Redditch. I found it v irritating to be called "Alvechurch" from time to time, growing up.

Four decades later, its amazing to know the family does originate there.

Thanks for your enquiry about Beckley. There is a Beckley in Virginia, and one in East Sussex in southern England. I suspect that it the town of Beckley VA that you are interested in as that has industry. Both of the UK Beckleys are small villages. Email me if I can help further.
