I have just today discovered what the three medals which belonged to my late uncle Thomas Johnson refer to. They are dated 1939 1940 and 1942. However looking at the list of past Knight Commanders I can see a T Johnson in 1982 which I think must be my maternal Grandfather who died when my mother was eight and about whom I know nothing. It would be wonderful if you have any more information about him. I live in hope!

I am seeking any info re Daniel Walter Owen my G.Father. I've got a photo of him in KGH regalia which shows West Park Encampment no 111 and KOS/GKC. I have found evidence of freemasonry membership of St Hilda's Lodge, South Shields between 1906 & 1915. Would you k ow if there are any KGH archives which I can consult for further information? Thank You. Gwyneth Owen

My Great Grandfather was a member in either Hartlepool or West Hartlepool, death in February 1911. Alfred Henry Lightfoot was a clothier in Hartlepool and counsellor of Throston ward. information on him or his membership appreciated.

Hi, I had found a few items among my late Fathers effects and wanted to find out what they were all about. There are a handful of medal type objects
and some letters. It turns out my grandfather, Samuel Usher, was scribe of the Hardwick encampment and a further badge suggests he was eventually K.O.S, Knight of the Shield, I believe.
Thanks for the information.
