Hi there We shipped in container from Durban - used a hi cube box. Didnt have to remove roof tent. We are not in the UK at the moment so haven't got details with us. We will be back in about 10 days and will send details then.

Hi, Just came across a posting you did on Horizons Unlimited way back in 2009 about shipping your vehicle from SA to UK. We are currently in the same boat looking to send our Landy back to the UK from SA and because of the hassle with removing roof tents etc are looking to use Ro Ro instead of container. However, we are concerned about security etc and how UK customs will view a vehicle which has been out of the country for the last six years! Can you let us know how you managed in the end and what the total cost was then. Cheers Pete & Sue

Monsieur Cox a.k.a notre petit choux - We still think you could do a book - if not transport related then how about "Brassicas for Beginners" based upon a Riu Touareg liquid fuelled recipe.
