Thought I would be the oldest to sign in but see Edward Dudley was at school from 1930 to 1936. Does that make Edward 90 years old ??
I joined the choir in 1948 when it was run by Jack Kyte. Russell took over in 1953 I think.

Wandsworth choir was part of the London Schools Choir that performed in 1951 at the Royal Albert Hall to mark the Festival of Britain. I was there !

Thought I would wish all the ex Dubs a Happy New Year. Keep up the good work Jim. Anyone out there with memorabilia of the old Wandsworth School let Jim have a copy, it will make his site that much interesting.

I left school in summer 1935 to get a job. Family income was my mother's widow's pension plus what she earned cleaning railway carriages. Got an office boy job at Milk Marketing Board at £1.00 a week. Left it and returned to school until April 36. Wrote 'On leaving school - and returning' for Link magazine. Has anyone a copy?

G'day I saw this website the oyher day and saw some names of old mates and classmates,Paul Mathews,Paul Preist and Mark Hull, I also remember a few other good mates whom I haven't seen mentioned here, Arrif(arry)Khan from Wimbledon Park, Dick Gentle from Putney and Paul Stevens from Maldon, last contact I had with Paul would have been about 20 years ago, he went emigrated to Israel to live on a Kibutz. I've had an interesting time working in the 70"s on an oil rig and then on construction sites in Germany (see Auf weidersehen pet!) I now live on the Mid North Coast Of New South Wales on 5 acres with views across the Maclaey about a 4 minute drive from the beach.Google "Trial Bay"
