Just discovered your website and it's truly amazing. Great job. One hell of a collection of Lp's and Cd'.s. If I may ask how did you go about acquiring such a collection. I do know that radio stations first used LP's as the content of the show. I worked with a guy who's brother owned a radio station in Paragould, Arkansas. I first listened to Casey Kasem in early 1972 while in the Air Force. My wife and listen to Casey Kasem every Sunday on Sirrius Satellite. Have over 1000 45's and over 600 LP's and over 1500 CD's.

I was wondering if you have any information on the availability of the program Doo Wop Heaven, hosted by Humble Harv Miller. I first became aware of this program on Direct tv music and later heard the first in the series on Bluepower radio. I have heard of nothing since.

I really enjoy your listings of AT40 & CT40.I have noticed that the CT40 list for April 2-June 25,1994 only shows me the CT40 show from March 26,1994,plus the May 1,1993 shows as an error.Keep up the good work.I really enjoy these list of yours.Do you have an listing of Rick Dees weekly Top 40 especially the ones before CT 40?Feel free to e-mail me on this. Thanks,Rickey

Hi!,
I'm a huge AT40 fan from all decades espically the 70s and 80s! I have to admit that the music from that time in the rock era definately Rocked!
I truly believe the there is nothing quite like "Casey Kasem's American Top 40". It is definately 1 of a kind...
That is #1 ON MY Top 40

Keep Countin'd Em' down

Can you please post the AT40 lineage for us? "What is the AT40 lineage?", you may ask.

The AT40 lineage is the list of songs that link the original, very first AT40 show in 1970 to the most recent edition, hosted by Ryan Seacrest.

This is how you'd compile the AT40 lineage:

Out of all 40 songs from the first ever AT40 countdown, you name the song which had the longest staying power from that group. In other words, the song that ended up being the last song standing from the original 40. The song which stayed on the Top 40 chart longer than any other.

Then, you take the Top 40 chart from the last week the aforementioned song was on the countdown, and you take the last song standing from that list. Keep doing this until you reach the present countdown.

For the years that AT40 was on hiatus, use Casey's Top 40.
