Thank you for going along with us on our adventures, Al'Stromeria! Mal and I really wanted to explore some of the places left out in the movies, and some of the lesser known characters, too... it was a lot of fun!

Hi Meriam! WIP stands for 'work in progress', which just means that we haven't finished those chapters yet. I just made the links early this time. Ch 37 will be up as soon as we're ready to post it. My parts for it are done and Mary is in the process of writing hers. Sorry about the confusion! All our readers are VIPs to us :) *hugs* Mal

Thank you, Maethril! Mal and I always love it when our readers 'get it' about our devotion to the Elvenking and portraying him as a great and noble Sindarin Elf-Lord, instead of a creepy abusive monster!
I do agree that Mirkwood elves are written the farthest 'out of character' in LOTR fanfiction, which is why Mal and I started writing our versions, but I believe that has to do with the movie portrayal of a Legolas.

Wow- I am really impressed by the collecion of stories and other works you have here. And I am so happy and relieved to see that not everyone who writes fanfiction thinks that Thranduil is some power-hungry, child-abusing, cold-blooded, evil king whose only mission is to make those around him miserable :-( I found your works very entertaining and enjoyable. Thanks for making my day ;-)
Is it just me, or do Mirkwood elves' characters (pretty much Legolas and Thranduil) seem to be the most abused in the whole fandom?

Russandol, so happy to find your reviews here, and for those two particular stories at that. The Orc story is one of my favourites, perhaps because it is so different from what I usually write (sex). And 'My Reward' is also an important story to me, the first in the long series of Mal's meetings with the Elvenking. Thanks again for your kind reviews :)

I love your Thranduil. Let's elaborate a little. From now on, I'll keep hoping to open the front door to a surprise like the one bad boy Thranduil gives Mal in this tale. He is witty, regal, domineering, kind, cruel and... deliciously hot. The writing makes me smile and rivets me to the screen. And I am extremely jealous of Mal now. Oh, I almost forgot: rings and oaths of fealty have acquired a new meaning. Just perfect. :o)

I read "To Catch an Orc" a few days ago, a very original and (strangely) bittersweet story. Yes, so well written that I fully sympathised with the daring she-Orc in search of the equivalent of Chanel No. 5 to attract and seduce the male of her dreams. The humour is very well done but not excessive, so that the story does not become full parody. The Orkish language and behaviour were fascinatingly... well, Orkish, I guess! I cheered at the successful outcome of the Orc-hunt mission, even though for a few momwents I feared that Rúmil would come to harm. I wonder if he ever worked out his real part... What a great tale!
