Guestbook for Tanya's website

When I first began this website soon after Tanyas death, at the request of a friend of hers, I was rather anxious about it. I feared that somehow it might be abused and that perhaps some visitors might not be very considerate. As it happened, I came to really value it and the messages left on it. As a result, now that guestbook has also passed on, I have finally started this new one. Please feel free to leave a message. Those of us who knew Tanya really enjoy reading them. I guess this moment 7 years ago Tanya had just been killed and her cats were cowering in her wardrobe (their favourite hiding place). Today I missed visiting her grave - due to work & having to chose between that and getting catfood (ran out to their horror!). I figure she would totally support that awkward option. The bulbs from her grave are flowering beautifully here now as PNCC decreed they had to be removed. Beauty amidst the pain.

On visiting the PN cemetry today we saw Tanya's resting place. I was over whelmed by the story and felt I needed to understand what happened, hence I found the website.
We are so sorry that a young lady can be taken in such circunstances

Well, last week I got an email saying Geocities is about to close so that means this website is going to have to find a new host. Despite it being almost 7 years, I'm not yet ready to part with it.

Its been 6 years 10 months and yet if Tanya came home tonight she'd find so much of her stuff still here. Her car's in the shed with its battery on the charger tonight (again), her cats are still here (sleeping as usual). I'm still not ready to 'move on', and I doubt I ever will be. Kids r 4 life.

Re Helen's lovely message below, I thought it timely to add that Tanya's rather huge and heavy (old-style 32 inch) TV blew up with a bang last Friday night as I dozed off after a long day at work. As its 9 years old and out of date, it wasn't worth repairing. Meanwhile Phoebe, who always slept on top of it, is banned from trying the same thing with the new TV. It is hard parting with this TV as Tanya died right in front of it. Perhaps though she tactfully planned it's demise around the Waitangi Day sales?

This has just been the sixth Christmas without Tanya. Its been a bit of a shambles as I had to do everything at the last minute. Usually I do stuff like replace the fake flowers on the grave and make sure it it 100% a few days before Christmas, but this year most shops were closed for Christmas before I even bought the fake flowers, & I bought a new ornament for the grave and dropped it in the very next shop I visited. Its glued up and on the grave now.

Its been wierd too with other extended family issues - one of which I know would have pissed Tanya off as much as it has the rest of us. Roll on next year. Merry Xmas folks.
