| I moved from Bethnal Green in London's East End to a 'POSH' neighborhood in South Harrow on The Heights Road - opposite
the Oast House Pub and backing on to the railways lines.
I went to Roxeth Manor (sounded so grand back then) and had
a bunch of friends that also went there - but lost track of
everybody.
John Crutchfield, Stewart who lived in a bungalow, and a
bunch of others.
I also joined 1545 Squadron - cadets near South Harrow
Police Station.
I had a flat off of the Target Pub Round-a-bout - I would
buy and sell cars and park them on the main road there and
put for sale signs on them.
Then I decided to come to California where I still live.
My Mum lives on Brookside Close near the round a bout.
I have been back a few times - much has changed.
Glad I live in Los Angeles near the beach and a 2 hour drive
to Palm Springs - where I intend to retire and play golf and
get a deep suntan all year round.
If you know me - or if you don't know me, but would like to
say 'hi' - then please drop me a line!
All the best.
Malcolm (friends call me 'Mac'). |

| I attended Roxeth Manor boys from 1961 to mid 1965
Teachers I remember: Mr Watkins the head, Mr Watson music,
Mr Pinch the Welsh PE and games teacher.
Pupils:Trevor and Barbara Elis, some brothers by the name of
Sadler. - how one's memory fades!
I do remember the production of Once Upon a Lugger, however
at that time my interest were elsewhere. (Cycle racing)
I remember the what was then a new school hall being built
to the left of the original buildings.
School diners out the back and walking the the games fields
on for sports days.
I completed an engineering apprenticeship at Kodak in
Wealdstone and shortly after left the UK for South Africa.
I subsequently travelled on to Australia, married and had a
son.
We spent 40 years in Sydney and have now retired and
followed our son and grandchildren (2) to New Zealand.
I would be interested in any further plans for a reunion
should such a event be planned.

| Oh, those growing up years. I look back on that time with wonderful memories. Smoking behind the hedge, the girls playing net ball in the adjacent playground whilst we are trying to look so cool. Roxeth Manor taught us how to be good adults. Sure we had nicknames for all of the teachers, and I've just tried to write a few of them down to get a cheap laugh, but I couldn't because despite some hard discipline on occasions I had a great respect for them. They led by example and they prepared me for the real world. I now live in Las Vegas and thank God I don't have to send a child to any school here. To all my friends, wherever you are, you were well equiped thanks to Roxeth Manor. |

| Hi everyone,
Interesting website.
I just found it, and still have to see if there is a search feature.
I am now 64 yrs old, unbelievable!
Have lived in Canada since 1979.
If I had to do it again, would have stayed in UK. - More days off, and not much snow shoveling like there is here. |

| Just found your site. How lovely to see the photos of the school and what memories it bought back. The re-union must have been great fun. |
