I'm still in the process of attempting to locate members of our unit who served in Tay Ninh Provence. The Battalion Recon unit was made up of volunteers who served previously in other company line units. We have had four successful reunions and we continue to seek out our people who we have been unable to connect with. Please feel free to contact me via my email address listed above. Served with Charlie Company, Triple Deuce, starting at Dautieng in early June 1969, then in the Crescent. Stayed with Charlie through May of 1970, basically DEROS out of Cambodia, a few days after we were ambushed on the 22nd of May. Spent 33 days in 12th EVAC, late September/October 1969. Went through tunnel school in Cu Chi, did the tunnel rat thing the rest of my tour, ended as battalion RTO on the CO's track while we were in Cambodia. Welcome Home

My father was a combat infantry platoon leader in Charlie Company, 3/22 25th ID. I have always been very interested an appreciative of his heroic service (Lt. Michael Robb from Zanesville Ohio). Firstly, I'd like to thank all of you Regulars for your heroic service as well. When I was a young kid, around 10 years old, I lost my father's Bronze Star with a V. I have felt guilty about this for years but thankfully just found the documents necessary to order a replacement. This medal was for heroic conduct in a heavy firefight near Xuan Loc on January 3, 1971. Their unit was ambushed and immediately sustained wounded. In addition to the new Bronze Star from the military to give to my father I am assembling as much information (from the 25th infantry magazine) and in any other sources I can find. If anybody has any recs on additional good resources please let me know. I'd love to get my hands on after action reports (although I'm not sure if the engagement was large enough), but from my fathers description of KIA, length and use of air and artillery support I'm guessing I can find some battalion level documentation somewhere. If anyone has experience searching for these, some pointers would be appreciated. Also, MORE IMPORTANTLY, if anybody was there your personal recollections would be the most valuable and appreciated. If anybody served with or under my father and remembers him, it would truly mean the world if you could write a few words or a recollection for the materials I'm putting together. Thanks so much. E-mail me any time! Look forward to hearing from anybody who can help! I will also be attempting to convince him to attend reunions and think this project will be the perfect way to finally get him to go!

I'm Sarah Henkel, an 8th grade social studies teacher from Mendota,IL and I'm hoping anyone is able to help my students in their project of researching First Lieutenant Glenn W. Breckenridge. He served with the 22nd Infantry Regiment in WW 2 and was KIA June 23, 1944. He is buried at the Normandy American Cemetery in France. My students and I will eventually write a eulogy and create a website memorializing Glenn and the sacrifice he made for our country, and a few students will present their research at a Veteran's Day program. Thank you for your consideration. I will also mail my request to the address listed on your page. Sarah Henkel

This is an inquiry regarding my father, John(Jack) Patterson, who served in WWII with the 22nd Inf. He died in 1968 so not much info about his service. We have a medic ID and his 22nd Inf "yearbook." We also have a group picture with Company Commanding Officer 1st Lt. Lee Lloyd. Anyone who served with him and can give us more detailed information about his service, please email me with that info or any contact info for you so we can talk. It would be greatly appreciated!
