The Vietnam Triple Deuce is collecting a historical archive of stories about encounters with red ants in Vietnam. Please submit your story about your encounter with red ants to Steve Irvine for inclusion in this archive. You do not have to be a member of the Vietnam Triple Deuce to submit your story. These encounters are an under reported part of our Vietnam history. Send in your story now. See Steve's web address under my name above.

It is with sadness that I inform many of you who knew him, that my brother Arthur Petersen passed away due to illness on March 4, 2017. Art was in Company C of the 2nd Battalion, 22 Infantry Regiment. He was drafted in 1967 and served in Vietnam during 1967-1968. He rose to the rank of Sergeant. Art was always proud to have served his country and often spoke kindly of those of you who he served along side. My brother, hero and warrior now rests at peace with those who went before him. Perhaps he will look down upon the rest of us and say as he had told me many times before "We are from Chargin Chuck and we don't give a XXXX" . Peace and honor we bestow upon him - may he forever rest with the angels and be with God and never be forgotten.

Just got back from Vegas Reunion. Great time, good to see all my brothers, especially all from my platoon. We are the old guys now so get to a reunion before the sands of time run out. Need help to get there? Ask, it's there for you. Looking forward to next time especially since I'll be able to drive there.

I'm still in the process of attempting to locate members of our unit who served in Tay Ninh Provence. The Battalion Recon unit was made up of volunteers who served previously in other company line units. We have had four successful reunions and we continue to seek out our people who we have been unable to connect with. Please feel free to contact me via my email address listed above.
