I have very happy memories of 6 years teaching, from when the school re-opened in 1972 to its closure in 1978. On holiday 5 years ago, I went to have a look at the site and was impressed by the new buildings on what had been the bus park area. Looking at Google Earth today, I was staggered to see what has since been built on the rest of the site! 5 years ago most of the building I knew were still there but it's since all been swept away. I must get back and have another look.

Just found this site. We lived in Tripoli fro 68-72'. My Dad was Chief pilot for LAVCO Aviation. We used to fly into Malta on the wekend in an empty DC3 and spend the weekend there and come back Sunday night so we could be at school Monday morning.

We used to stay at the 'brand new" Preluna Hotel. Spent my sisters 13th birthday at the "Barrel in the Basket". Maybe its long gone. Wimpys was a treat since we couldnt get burgers like that in Libya.

We moved to Malta in 1972 for 6 months on our way home to the US. We went to a school that was in a big house. Not sure what school that was??? Sure miss and loved/love Malta.

Prefect is on holiday. (Guess where!) The site should function as normal but anything needing a response from me will be delayed.

Wow ,found this site today and looking through 1974 school magazine found a mention of my brother Kevin coming 6th in the cross country race ,may seem trivial to some but we lost him in 1987 so bought a tear to my eye.Loved my time in Malta, lived in Mtarfa with my family ,my father was a chef with234 signal squadron,I don't remember school as much as I remember sneaking off to the marines discos and lying about my age ,also getting found out . Remember my best friend Caroline Gaffney staying with us and getting sunstroke at Golden bayonet taking her home on the famous Maltese buses. Also got engaged to a marine at the sweet age of sixteen ,madness I know but still grat memories :)
