OK its just a simple Guestbook for now, introduced as the space for comments under photos is limited. Rules. 1. Posts must be in English (the odd Maltese phrase allowed) 2. No obscene, offensive, or defamatory comments. 3. Offenders and Spammers will be thrown off Dingli Cliffs. Email addresses if entered are visible only to the Webmaster. If you wish to contact an old schoolmate directly, just ask and I will relay a message if I can.

Thanks for your comments. The picture size is not always a matter of my choice. The size limits I have chosen are 1024 x 1024 with a file size limit of 250 KB. This will produce a near full screen clear image. Limitations are necessary as space costs money and I fund this site from my pension!
Any photos posted by me are increased to as near these limits as possible whilst retaining acceptable quality. However many images submitted by members do not reach these standards often because the scanning from poor quality original prints just wasn't of sufficiently high resolution. Nevertheless they are welcome additions to our collective nostalgia. They are intended purely for viewing, not printing. Enjoy.
Further contributions of whatever quality will of course be welcome.

A very good and informative site.

However I do think it is a great shame that you have chosen to display the many interesting pictures that you have here at such a small size. With many of the pictures shown at around 625x394 and the very largest at about 1024x800 it is impossible to appreciate them fully.

.Block 1.Msida Rd.Gzira from 1951-1953.Was about 13 years old and attended Tal Handaq.Just wondered if anyone else visiting this site lived there after I returned to UK.Have been back to Malta about eight times over the last ten years and still love the place,but its not the same anymore.

Not sure, but she lived in Balzan, so that might be a place to start looking. Or nearby Lija Cemetery or perhaps the large Addolorata Cemetery at Marsa.
