I would like to contact anyone who was at Tal Handaq at the same time I was, 1967-69. I was living in Tigne barracks at the time.

I am looking for a friend of mine named Cheryl Rayfield from Dundee she used to live at St. Rita Street, Birzebbuga, Malta. Her father was a Lieutenant Commander in the Royal Navy. She attended the Royal Naval School Tal-Handaq about1960 - 1966. My father used to work at the Royal Air Force Tal-Handaq and after RAF Luqa Engineering Flight. I have some nice photos at RAF Tal-Handaq and also of our houses in front of each other. Best Regards to Cheryl and her family.

best days ever. Remember Sliema cafe well and also have the same phoo of the Sliema cafe crowd. My father was one of the adults who set up the Pit. Would love to hear from anyone who remembers me.

With all due respect to Admin (who appears to have edited the final part of my last message), if you search on "Pit" you will not find the file to which I refer. Instead, search on "Barracca" and it will appear as the first file. I have just done this and it works.

From admin - Apologies for the editing Ivan. You will now ! (You didn't mention that photo by name in your unedited message, only a reference to Before our Tme. I was also pointing out the photos of the Pit).

Message for Sonia Aldworth. If you paste coordinates 35.895238, 14.511657 into the Google Maps Search field it will take you straight to the location of the entrance of what was The Pit. Drag the little Streetview man into the map and various photo locations are shown in that area. There are old photos and some remarks about the Pit in the mid-60s - search on Pit with the search button (left hand menu in THN Gallery).

Admin's reply - the Pit is under the Stock Exchange building. See http://www.talhandaqnostalgia.org/gallery/displayimage.php?pid=5465

I am seeking information on the British Scout / Cub Group at Verdala. I have a name tape, blue on white which says 'SERVICES SCHOOL VERDALA' . I presume this dates from after 1969 when they came under one Services educational umbrella instead of the Royal Navy. Any information of this and the Scout troop at 1st Luqa (Home) and other British Scouting in Malta would be gratefully received. Thank you.

(Messages can also be passed to Tony via admin - use the contact button).
