I attended the opening meeting of the new 2010 / 2011 season where I was made to feel most welcome. Thank you for that. I am now looking forward to the next meeting and becoming a member of the Stokesley Photographic Society. A very well designed and informative web site. Great website and very high standard photographs. I was born in Stokesley and lived there until 1963 so its nice for me to see local landscapes, as well as the other excellent compositions. Really brilliant work. Message Number: 7 - Tuesday, February 19, 2008 14:28:15 GB [IP = 86.163.85.0] -United Kingdom ![]()
Having looked at several Photo Club websites recently I have found that Stokesley's is the best laid out and easiest to use. It is a credit to the designer. There are many stunning images in the galleries. Keep up the good work. Message Number: 6 - Saturday, February 2, 2008 05:00:48 GB [IP = 24.32.35.137] -United States ![]()
Does anyone remember the THORNTON family who lived at the GOLDEN LION HOTEL (now CHAPTERS)? My parents Vi and Ernie Thornton were the owners of the hotel from 1944 through 1962(?). My brother BRIAN left for Montreal a few weeks after I, VERONICA, married DOUGLAS BLAIR in 1952. After DOUGLAS died, I returned to Montreal in 1958 with my brother. My sister VALERIE, brother BRIAN and I, VERONICA, have lived in northern California since the 1960's. Would love to hear from anyone who might (or might NOT) have known the family.Regards to you ALL.Ronnie Thornton Hagin
