The story of your first "Lappi" Sophie struck a chord because it sounded so much like my experience with our sweet Barklee boy. He was most likely a chow/shepherd mix, but his compact size, alert stance & spitz-like look, not to mention his thick, bronzed black coat & lush plumed tail, all resonated as Swedish Lapphund to me. With my strong Swedish heritage, it was a perfect match! We adopted him when he was 8, and he enriched our lives for 8 more years. Sadly, he's been gone several years now, and he's dearly missed (even by his two feline pack mates). Thanks for sharing your Lappi journey, pictures and information. |

It's been 4 years since my Great Pyrenees passed on And I have less than 5 acres now. I have been trying to research Lappis . Unfortunately I do not speak Swedish. What I could find out was enough to make me think that a Lappi would be a good fit for me . I love these ancient breeds and want a companion 24/7. I live in Hollister California. Is your kennel still active and are you still breeding ? The last date I found on your website was 2012 . Can you help me ? |

I am just now learning about this breed but I know I want one. I live in Virginia, do you know of any breeders on the east coast or closer to this area? |
