WOW ... you're life was everything else but boring - you got around on this planet!
I'd like to know more about this face you saw in the window ... I believe in these kind of things or better in things which undoubtadly exist - but we humans can't grasp nor explain them!
I like your blog a lot ... your honesty, your radiness to call a spade a spade - I highly respect you for that!

Hey, just came over from IceStationTango! I enjoyed the pics, especially since I live in the St. Louis area (zoo and Meramec Caverns) and was in the Navy (TM3) years ago (think VietNam era).
Oh, and the guy you said was the dumbest person you'd ever known - I suppose we all knew one of those in the Navy at some point. My "dumbest" was a real trip also. Poor guy just wasn't too sharp but he had a good heart.

God bless you, Ted, and I pray for your safe return. Your photography is beautiful and I hope you will keep it up. My son is now in Iraq. He is the logistics officer for his company. Until two years ago he was a battery commander. Before he left I asked of him and the men in the command for three favors that I begged of them to commit to memory:
- Do not be afraid nor ashamed to get down on your knees every day.
- Do not try to be a hero
- Do not forget that you are loved greatly by the ones you are leaving behind.
May I now ask this favor of you?
