Hey Man, I got your site from Jeff A. (from Manila)who helped me with my Lexmark Printer and he said he knew you guys. I told him I rode a Harley (1980 flame wideglide I bought new 30 yrs ago for $6,250?died on it from a head on in Spain/I'm ex Navy ATC/still going after several rebulids me and my Scooter, etc). He told me about your club and said he'd send me your website etc. I was in Subic bay in 1977-78 with my Squadron RVAH-7 TAD on the USS Kitty Hawk CV- 63 and yes I had a BLAST everywhere we went. If I can help you guys out with parts etc let me know and we may be able to make that work. Ridin' Forever, FXWGDAVE

Howya goin there fellas? I'm a 53yo Aussie biker (1997 Low Rider) married to a gorgeous young lady from Northern Mindanao. I hope to retire there in Camiguin before too many years pass. Have any of your blokes got any idea how to get my bike into the country without paying (so I've been told) the equivalent value of the bike in import duties? I also got told if I brought it in through Cebu or Cagayan de Oro, the duties would be very much less. Anyway, I've been studying Google Earth for hours at a time, measuring distances and researching ferries, and I've come to the conclusion that the Philippines is a biker's paradise. You can ride from Manila to Camiguin island with only 3 ferry rides. It goes like this... Manila via Naga city to Matnog ferry, 560 Km or roughly 350 miles, then from the port of Allen town in Northern Samar, via San Juanico bridge and Tacloban city in Leyte to Liloan ferry, 370 Km or 230 miles, then from Surigao, south and east across the north coast of Mindanao, via Butuan and Gingoog city (where my wife's family lives) to Balingoan port for the ferry to Benoni on Camiguin (where my wife Mary grew up). Total distance of approximately 1,200 killerflogs or 720 miles in the old scale. There is an endless road around the island, 63 Km (39 miles) brings you back to the same point you started, and then if you're bored you've got the whole of Mindanao to ride round, but I wouldn't do that without someone to watch my back, and I'm not the sort of bloke who shits himself too easily. We've done a lot of miles together over there on a chook chaser (chook being aussie slang for chicken, and the chaser a 250 Japper), and I just love it, and so does the missus. I reckon I've got the perfect wife, because she gets sick in everything (including elevators) except a motorbike. God designed her specifically to be a biker's wife. Feel free to reply because I need to know about getting Harleys into the Philippines (kind of ironic because years ago blokes were lookin for ways to get ex-army WLA's out of there haha). May your tyres and tanks be always full, Jess, Australia.

Hi Guys Rennie and I would like to thank you all so very much for all your help and support at the sad and unexpected loss of our brother John. It is with a sad heart that we returned home without him. I am however gald that we left John's remains with his brothers in Thailand. I feel personally humbled at the respect and love shown to John, and I know that as a family we will all miss his being with us. Please keep in touch. Love and thanks to everyone. Pat x
