Dear Elder Trawick,
We hope you had a wonderful birthday. Did you get our card?? Sounds like you are doing a wonderful and marvelous work there in Scotland. What is this information you have on Joseph Fairchild?? A Blessing? How did you get it? I don't know if I told you, but I've been diagnosed with type 2 Diabetes! I've been controlling it with my diet. I go back to Randy next month for some lab (A1C) to see how my blood sugars have been over the last 3 months. Your dad has lost quite a bit of weight and is looking wonderful. Grandpa is down to 174 and is in size 32 pants. I've been eating right and exercising and have lost about 15 pounds. It's coming off slow, I started back in November. Carbs are not good for diabetes. I keep mine at around 40 grams per meal. Lots of protein and leafy green and yellow veggies. I also was throwing a bunch of pvc's and pac's so I had to see a cardiologist. They did a stress test and dr. asked me did I want the good news first, the best, or the better news.

It was wonderful to get to talk with you and see you on Christmas Eve. What a great Christmas present for us all. Everyone was so excited. You are looking fine and fit. We continue to pray for you everyday, and know that you are an inspiring missionary to all you come in contact with. I leave you my testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I know that it has been restored in it's fullness in these the last days. I know that Jesus is my Savior and redeemer. I am so thankful that HE was willing to suffer the pangs of Gethsemane and willing to do it for me. And that HE died on the cross so that we could be resurrected. What a blessing this knowledge has given me, especially over this last year. My prayer is that we will all remember what great love HE has for each of us, and that we will remain true and faithful and obedient to the end so that we may one day return to His presence. May Heavenly Father hold you in the hollow of HIS hand until you return safely to your loved ones here in th

Hello Dear Elder Trawick, We are enjoying the pictures and all your comments about your mission. We know that your testimony and the spirit will help to bring others to the truth of the gospel of Jesus Christ. We also know that your testimony will grow leaps and bounds as you serve Father. How blessed we are as a family to have another missionary in the field. The field is white and ready to harvest. You are so blessed to labor in such a beautiful part of the Lord's vineyard! We love you, and pray for you each day. We sent more money to Utah for your mission fund. God bless you and keep you in the hollow of His hands. Grandma
