Wait a minute- You're Illinois State Poetry Society, but you're in Arizona? That's two different states.

Why aren't your contests open to non members? Is membership open to residents of California? That's where I live.

I wanted to advise the ISPS and it's membership that my good friend and poet John Pawlik passed away in early September in Waukegan Illinois. He leaves behind a fine collection of poetry and imagery here on the ISPS site and in his private personal archives. Though sometimes dim of spirit and mournful of the future, he was an honest and passionate poet and never shied from the larger emotional world of his heart and soul. I know he was pleased to leave behind this written legacy. He is greatly missed by all his friends.
