I graduated from HHS in June 1950, and enlisted in the Air Force and went on active duty on 1-17-52. My brother Joe, HHS '51 and Bill Newton, Pat McGarrigle, Stony McGlynn, John Shaner and "Ewell" Blackwell, all HHS '51 followed me and we all went through Basic Training at Sampson AFB, NY and then went our separate ways. I did meet up with Bill Newton at Camp Stoneman Cal on our way overseas in early 1953. Bill and I also met in Japan on R & R and had a great time. I also met my brother Joe at the Fuji View Hotel near Tokyo and his buddy and we had a great time. I spent sometime in Korea and then when the war was over shipped back to Japan  to complete a 2 year tour of duty. I was just wondering if any of thos guys ever look at this site and I would like to hear from them. I do talk to my brother from time to time. Thanks.

I want to take this opportunity to thank all our veterans past and present for serving our country.  I have been able to trace my family veterans  clear back to the Rev War.  My gr gr g/f  was conscripted into th Confederacy during the Civil War and after being captured by the Union, ended up dying in camp Douglas POW Camp Chicago, IL  He was 37 years old when he died. No one knew what had happpened to him.  I searched  30 years before finding him.  God bless all our military and their families for loaning them to all of us..*Bobbi from WV USA
