Thinking of my dear departed friend Linda...thumbing through her poetry on the internet I have found some comfort in her poems and I totally remember when she wrote new poems and called me on the phone and said " I have another poem a new one for you to read. Let me know what you think". I truely miss her, we were BEST FRIENDS. Message Number: 12 - Thursday, August 14, 2008 19:33:09 PDT [IP = 207.200.116.203] -United States ![]()
I saw only a few poems by Ms. Watson, and I read every one of them. They all had a soothing quality to them, particularly the aptly-titled 'Serenity.' I look forward to reading more of her work. Message Number: 11 - Wednesday, June 11, 2008 09:28:40 PDT [IP = 205.160.97.148] -United States ![]()
I am happy to say that Tom Forbes' project "Irene's Night" has been published and is now available through several outlets. It is a beautifully written journal of his wife's battle with Lou Gehrig's disease. If you would like more information please contact me. There are many wonderful poems gathered together at this web site. It is a pleasure to spend some time reading the poems others have submitted. Thanks to Alan and Mary for this labor of love. Nice job! Anne Bryant-Hamon Message Number: 9 - Tuesday, May 20, 2008 05:45:50 PDT [IP = 211.22.135.117] -Taiwan ![]()
I loved your story. I am a highschool student and know exactly what you're talking about, having tried many of those same tricks, some of which were unfortunately successful. I really admire your effort to help your students be responsible and not take any flak from them. I wish I had teachers like you who weren't afraid to actually control the class and teach. Keep up the good work! Message Number: 8 - Monday, April 21, 2008 16:26:57 PDT [IP = 67.9.109.158] -United States ![]()
John: Dru Dunn read me your story today. I was way too in to myself and my problems and thought she would let me bend her ear about my woes. Instead she picked up your lovely story and we were both laughing, crying and amazed at the beauty of how you write. Thank you John. We first read Does anyone want a ride to Tahua? in March of 2006 We were inspired by it. We just arrived back from an awesome trip to this area. We drove right through the beautiful village of Tumapasa, it does have the most awesome view. We spent time at a home outside of Ixiamis. We want to thank you for a wonderful story. Wouldn't this world be a better place if everybody would think more of the next person than of himself. We truely love the Bolivian people. It is a great place to visit. I liked Sunita Fernandes poems. Growing up in Bangalore her angst has a poignant and familiar feel. (originally posted on 12/6/2006)
