Dear Parents of Asproolee:

I am contacting you because I need your help.

I created a bill, called Lucky's Law, in memory of my handsome, Oriental Shorthair cat.

My organization, Lucky’s Legacy, is a Pet Rights Advocacy Group focused on creating non-property status for our pets and holding all medical professionals accountable.

The current issue we face, like most groups starting out, is that we are not visible (yet) to the Animal Rights community.

That's where you come in.

In the last 2 weeks, our Causes.org Petition "Help End Veterinarian Malpractice" has gone from 250 to 1,000 members. That's a sizable leap, but far from where we want to be.

Our goal is 10,000,000 members with national support.

Of those 10,000,000 members, we will be asking each of them to send a letter to their State & Local Government to sponsor a bill.

Would you be willing to help by connecting us with people who have lost their pet due to a negligent vet?

Please check us out at www.luckyslegacy.com.

Sincerely,

Marz

I am so sorry about your toy poodle. He was such a baby! What a shame.

My 19 pound mixed breed female, probably Poodle/Schnauzer, about 4 years old (found her on the road with no collar 2 years ago) looks a bit similar to Asproolee, but she is all black.

Dr. Joe McNew of the Dekalb Animal Hospital in Fort Payne extracted 3 of Pixie's teeth without permission and I contend that nothing was wrong with them. I believe that a "medical misadventure" occurred the day of her dental cleaning and that her teeth may have been broken by accident and to cover up the situation, the teeth were removed. An implant is not possible at this time, and would be wildly expensive even if available because Pixie's mouth is so small. My lawyer sent Dr. McNew and the Alabama Veterinary Board a certified letter just this week. I would be happy to mail (U.S. mail) you a copy if you wish. I can be reached by phone at 423-847-8048, or you can send me your address by mail to: 8101 Aytes Lane, Hixson, Tn 37343.

Greetings from Afghanistan, buddy!

I can't believe it's been 3 years since we lost you, bud. Every time I think back on how much pain & suffering you went through, I get so sad and angry at the same time. However, what comes around goes around, and those ignorant vets will pay for their negligence. I love you and miss you very much, Asproolee. You'll NEVER be forgotten!

Aris

I am doing a research project on animals,
primarily domesticated dogs and cats. Part of the
research involves the large amount of "dumping" of
animals, over breeding of domestic pets, and the
huge financial burden put on the taxpayers that
rely on municipal, county, and rescue agencies
whose job is promote health, safety and welfare in
communities. I am also exploring ways in which
animals needless destruction has been
significantly reduced in various jurisdictions
where public/private partnerships have been
implemented to assist county and local animal
control agencies in getting adoptable animals
adopted by actively implementing a regular
adoption program. Amazingly, these programs have
shown much success in reducing overtime, staffing,
medical staff for euthanization, as well as
boarding costs and feeding costs. While my
research is not exactly on point with your
purpose, I found your website extremely
interesting and did have some of the issues I am
concerned about addressed. If you h
