Hi....how's everyone doing? Just checking in to see if there has been any new progress on the site. Always looking forward to the next "FANTASTIC" Show!!!! I had a perfectly GREEEEEAT time once again in 2010. We are literally "Deciples" of this RockFest no matter what. We enjoyed the Classic Rock Bands that we used to come up to see as well as the Tribute Bands. In some cases the tribute bands are better than the original bands. I was teasing my Husband & our good friend Chuck while "Whiskey Creek" was playing. I told them that they simply can't deny that they ROCK 'Lynard Skynard' way more enthusiastically than Skynard themselves. I know that is a sacralige; but it is true. Sometimes it sounds like they are tired of performing their own songs. I love Hendrix, but when I see Randy Hanson climbing on the scafolding while grinding his axe...it bestills my heart. These performers are giving it their all straight from their hearts & souls. I will say this, tho'...I do miss the Classic Rock Bands themselves to some degree. But, that would "NEVER" stop me from doing the entire weekend year after year as a pilgrammage to kinship and ROCK N ROLL!! I trust in the future there will be efforts to reinstate the old school plan and give us at least a Classic Rock night, perhaps with headliners on Saturday night for starters. I always wish the promoters the best, because their success is our success. So, just so you know, I'm keeping the "Love Light' burning, because the wheel of the year has just turned and we are closer to summer once again. Just 2 seasons away. Here's to always keeping "SUMMER" in mind & Three Cheers for another successfull FESTIVAL!! Yours Truely, Franni of "FranniLand"!!! XOXOX Here's to you & you & YOU!!

Had a blast.....do you think we will ever have some Headliner bands from our concert days in the 70's, 80's & 90's? Just one would be nice like Rock Fest used to have....

This was our first year to Strutzfest (Thanks to Fred Holzman of the Davanos for letting us know about this)so we just went on Friday. But what a Friday! All the bands were exceptional. I have to disagree with message 92 - The Dusty 45's were a highlight for us. I still can't forget the image of Billy Joe standing atop that upright Cello blowing his horn - whether in flames or not. What a showman he is and the band, with all original music, couldn't have been any better. From where I stood, the crowd seemed to agree. I hope you have another one next year - we'll be there the whole weekend. Thank you so much. The Friday lineup was perfect. PERFECT.

The weekend rates a page in my "It Doesn't Get Any Better Than This" book. Thank you and the entire SF crew, the bands, the vendors and Mike D. for the most amazing birthday weekend I have ever had!
