I received, for the first time, a copy of "The Alert" when speaking at a children's evening in Limivady Independent Methodist last year. A powerful little booklet which brought much information, encouragement and challenge. I'm delighted to find that a number of past issues can be downloaded as PDF. Thank You and God Bless this ministry.

My grandmother, Rebecca Cowdy, was born in Portadown in 1854 and came to America in 1872.  She was a Godly Methodist lady who left a great influence.   I plan to visit Portadown November 23-30 and would like to talk with anyone who may know anything about William Cowdy, Hamilton Robb or David Thornton, family members from the 1860s.

For the pastors of the churches, I have just noticed that Bobby Ball (of Cannon and Ball fame) is appearing at Burnavon Theatre, Cookstown on Saturday 27th November 2010, and also at Kildress Parish Church on Sunday 28th November. This may be a good opportunity to encourage church members to bring non-believers along to hear the Christian message as he presents it very well. By the way I'm not affiliated with Bobby, just a fan :)

I wish we had a Fellowship of Independent Methodist Churches in the US of A.  I have been an United Methodist until I finished reading their Book of Resolutions for 2008.  They have drifted so far to the left of the road that I fear they are in danger of going into the ditch soon. Can an Independent Christian minister become a member of the FIMC and serve here in the United States?  I love your site and reading your statements.  Thank you and may God Jehovah be with you.<):o)
