Hi Diane, I was reading through old posts on the Irish Guards Forum and found one of yours about how to try to get in touch with ex-Mick's. I would like to suggest: To get in touch with anyone who has served in the Mick's I suggest you try the Irish Guards Association branch's either the nearest to where they are lived or were they grew up. Perhaps they have a squad photo that can be published in one of the Irish Guards magazines, that would have their passing out squad on it and the date that they finished their basic training. Someone could remember them by age or what years they served in the Mick's or if advertised in the association magazines. Or contact the Irish Guards RHQ Wellington barracks, if they can help, they will. Or they can e mail me with the subject box ( Searching for Irish Guards ) and if I can help in anyway I will. God Bless all Mick's past and present. AlbieMc. PS. I'm now living in the Penny Lane area, Liverpool, UK.

Hi Great site and I am hoping maybe someone can help. I am trying to find out more about my great uncle John Stack, RSM. My father was his maternal nephew and I am led to believe he may also have been in the Irish Guards in the 1950's.. If anyone has a photo of my great uncle I would love to see it and be able to add it to our family tree. If you also can give me a bit of background on his life that would be even better. Many thanks.
