This is a message for Carolyn Flowers Of Leyland Lancashire who is researching her family history. I have a family connection with Joseph Carrier who was in Biddenham at the time of your interest.
If I can be of any assistance you may contact me by email dennisgreen@xtra.co.nz

I lived in the Old Vicarage in Biddenham, with my parents, from about 1940 till 1947 when we moved to London. I remember the old house and my endless adventures around the village very fondly. Now I live in France, but work half the year in Bangkok. I would love to revisit the village and the house. Who lives there now ?
With best wishes to all the residents.
Robin Dannhorn

Just stumbled across your website whilst looking for 'Ivy Cottage' in Biddenham, where my maternal Gt Gt Grandfather Jesse Johnson (54) lived in 1881. Loved the Gallery, but alas, no Ivy Cottage! If anyone there knows where it is, or was, I'd be delighted to hear from them!

I've just started researching my family history and have found that one of my great grandmothers was born in Biddenham. Her name was Mary Ann Trueman and her father was Timothy Trueman. In later life she moved to Wellingborough where she and her husband ran the Station Hotel in Midland Road.

By sheer coincidence I don't live far from Biddenham so I will be visiting shortly.

Biddenham is my turangaweiwei ( Maori word for the place where you come from and hold dear). I will be visiting towards the end of the year and hope to be able to ring the church bells in the tower of St James where I first learnt to ring, my teacher Evelyn Steel.

Hi, my name is Tracy (Sales it was then) and I used to be penpals with a boy who used to live in 1 Duck End Lane, Biddenham, his name is Robert but I have forgotten his surname. We met in the new forest 79/80 he had a friend called Richard with him. Robert was studing to be a tree surgeon, he went to Guilford, moved away to Dartford which is where my last letter from him came in 83. If anyone has an address for him I would love to catch up I know, time and tide.....but I may just get lucky!!! Thank you for your time, Tracy
