Many thanks to this website. My wife and I are going to Italy next week. We are visiting Celenza to see where my grandfather Pasquale was born. I used your suggestions for the Pagina Bianco, sent a photo with a letter (in Italian, using Google Translate), and we have a Facebook conversation with a cousin. We'll stay at the Relais-Celenza Hotel. I want to see the church and pay my respects to my heritage. It'll be fun to meet my "cousins." If you are an "Iamele", send me your email and I'll write to you.

Hello, My great-grandparents, Vincenzo Grosso and Luisa Iannantuoni were from Celenza and nearby San Marco in Catola . I've searched the Ellis Island records but haven't had any success, although I did find my mom's grandparents records (they were from Campo Basso, Molise). Any suggesstions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, Lisamarie Grosso

I was introduced too this site by accident and the more I visit the better it seems to be. Thank you for setting it up. I have found out that I have a reletive who was the Mayor of Celenza and the last name was Cordone on my Grand mothers side. Does anybody know how I could find out this information cause it could help me find my family roots.

I grew up in the Town Plot area of Waterbury, Conn. My paternal grandparents were from Celenza Valfortore and I do believe the spelling of the surname was changed somwhere along the way. Thanks for establishing this website! I found it quite by accident when researching tours back to my roots in Celenza. If you know of any such tours that you could endorse, I would be most appreciative.
John

A salute! To all the people of celenza! I have a question though, my parish of St. Francis of Paola in Brooklyn has the original statue of San Giovanni from Celenza, why doesn't the people go to see him anymore?
