Had a great trip yesterday! We weren't sure of the weather when we left to come down to Southport on Tuesday but Capt Butch told us he would do his best, but couldn't promise anything. Well the weather cooperated and so did the fish. For the first couple hours of fishing it was nonstop. As soon as the bait hit the bottom the fish were biting. We quickly warmed up and were shedding layers as we were working hard catching fish. Capt Butch and Capt Chris are both professional and courteous. They treated us like family and worked hard to help us catch fish. Can't wait for the next trip!

Captn Butch and his son(the mate) showed top notch hospitality to Adam & I. Both of us got very sick almost from the beginning. But the mate offered to help us and he brought us water and wet towels. We got ourselves together some to actually be able to do a little fishing (imagine actually fishing instead of just getting sick)and man, Captn Butch he said "he'd find where they were biting" and he wasn't joking. We only fished for just a little bit and we were rolling in the fish- Whiting, Bass, Trout. I even caught a StingRay. Captn' Butch and his son helped us so we could have a good catch. They looked out for us and really put us first. We started not feeling good again, so we decided to call it short, but still came with an amazing catch. I've never caught fish and was so very excited that I was able to. I tell you. They definately know their stuff if they can get ME to catch fish. Butch and Chris- thank you so very much for everything you did for us! We'll be back, but w more Dramamine next time. :)

I went fishing with Capt. Butch and Chris on December 22nd and it was easily the best charter fishing experience I have ever had. We arrived at the first spot and started catching keeper-sized black sea bass as soon as the rigs hit the bottom. They just kept coming and we limited out with some pretty big ones in the mix. My arms and shoulders were aching because there was no break from the action. After filling up the cooler with these tasty fish Capt. Butch said we would move to another spot and try to catch some gray trout. He put us right on top of the fish and the action was non-stop once again. Chris is the best mate I have ever had the pleasure of fishing with. Good conversation with Capt. Butch and Chris was just as plentiful as the fish. Do yourself a favor the next time you are down in the Oak Island area and go fishing with Capt. Butch and Chris. They're the best around at finding the fish and hooking you up. And by the end of the day you feel like a member of the family.

Hi Butch. We didn't make it offshore as the weather was a little too iffy for us. We had 3 good king strikes-2 short struck and one took the back treble off of a crystal minnow. Caught some blues and spanish and coming in we caught ten or so very nice ribbon fish. The day ended up being really nice and of course any day on the water is a good day. Thanks for all your help. david

I have never fished with Capt. Butch but certainly hope to one day soon. We usually fish out of Morehead, but will be fishing out of Carolina Beach on Sat. and I emailed Butch asking for some local knowledege. If we don't catch fish, it won't be his fault. Within the hour I had a page long fishing report and recommendations. I value this information because I know of Capt. Butch's excellent reputation. He is a rare combination of a man who does a super job and is nice to boot! David Sasser

Butch and Chris, We were out with you on 10/10/09. I will definatly recommend your charter to all my friends. We had a slow start to the catch but you guys were persistant in putting us on the fish. I would also like to thank you for the extra time and effort to allow us to fill our coolers with spanish. I look forward to the next time I can get away for a week end of fishing. Randall, you are soooo right!! I have always checked the reports here and at the oifc site. Captain Butch tells it like it is good or bad and doesn't try to sell me something with every other word. Yeah Right is the only fishing website I bother to check anymore. With all the sales hype and other crap, I don't even bother with oifc anymore. Why should I? I know I can get the truth and facts as they really are from Yeah Right Charters site. GREAT WORK CAPT!!!
