We had a great time on Yeah Right II with Captains Butch and Chris. They made the fishing trip fun, educational, and very personable. Bottom line... we chose them because, quite simply, they know what they are doing. Message Number: 368 - Monday, June 29, 2009 13:33:23 PDT - United States ![]()
Captains Butch & Chris - You already know that Faith, Matt, Paul, myself, - and especially Jake had a great time last week (6/22/09) on the Yeah Right II. The little guys is still beaming about the landing those kings (AND a bee-liner, he reminds me)...All his morning chumming has turned into quite a war story, working up to the the king. Truly a very special memory you both made happen for us - even without a uTube posting. Many, many thanks! I also give you a lot of credit - Those fish were hiding, but you found them - and with that little "extra" you both put into everything, made it an outstanding trip. Mahi, king, Paul's monster 'couda, a few meals worth of bottom fish...even that shark was outstanding right off the grill that night (a real surprise - your quick-gutting worked wonders). A new beach-house favorite is born. Very much looking fwd to the next trip! Until then, good fishing & God bless. John PS - I guess i shouldn't have filled in the forms illegibily while we sped back into port...Jake & I live in Carmel, IN. Went out on June 6 with captains Butch and Chris Foster. Don't know how we could have had any better time. Filled one cooler bottom fishing and second cooler with king mackerels, dolphin and cobia. Came home tired with a cooler full of fish meat. Thank you captain Butch and Chris for a wonderful time. I hope to make it back out again later this year. Best regards and God bless, Dave Shields, Thomasville, NC Message Number: 365 - Tuesday, May 26, 2009 11:54:34 PDT - United States ![]()
Captians Butch and Chris are two men that could catch fish in a bucket! These too took a bad day of fishing (no one else had much luck that day) and turned it into a real treat for 6 Mountain boys! We had a blast catching spanish mackerel and sharks. They are a great team, know what each other are thinking and fun to cut up with! Im soaking my catch for the last day, putting my shark on the grill tonight!! I cant wait to fish with Captian Diddy and Captian Face of Death, with the blue thumb, thanks again!!! Captains Butch and Chris, You were right, I was wrong. You are smart, I am stupid. You are pretty, I am ugly. The shark meat is fantastic! Cooked it up on the grill with three different recipes last night and all came out great. The taste and texture were polar opposite of what I have experienced in the past - a credit to your handling after the catch. For those reading this, here is a quick synopsis of my particular situation; I originally scheduled a Gulf Stream trip but the morning's weather report was not in our favor. Captain Butch offered to either take us out for shark or reschedule, we opted to go. My wife, a friend and I all caught sharks and had a good time doing it. We kept one that was about 120 lbs and CPT Chris field dressed it prior to putting it on ice, this made all the difference. I have caught a couple of sharks in the past and did not handle them properly which resulted in less than desirable meat. Anyways, this was a first for the girls and they had a good time even though their arms were sore from trying to pull their respective sharks in. We grilled the next day and the as you read above, it was excellent. My wife has already provided me the green light to schedule another trip when the freezer starts looking empty, shouldn't be long at all. Thanks to Butch and Chris for not only getting fish in the boat but also for getting my family excited about this sport. Had a group of six going out today for the off shore fishing. Weather didnt permit us to do so, so we stayed near shore and had a blast. Started off by trolling for Spanish Mackeral then went to shark fishing. And right off the bat we landed a whooper. Both the captain and the mate were super nice and made sure we all had fun and was able to fight a bigger fish. They both went out of their way to make sure we completely enjoyed ourselves and we did. THANKS. Kenneth McDowell Message Number: 362 - Thursday, May 7, 2009 09:44:05 PDT - United States ![]()
just wanted to drop you a line on how much fun and how successful the trip was 5/6/09. the weather was not great wind was making it a little slanty and with my group which had mostly never been out except for me you made the perfect sullection of where to go and what to fish for. we cauth some good eating fish, but the challage was not there. the shark fishing was a little boring for a while but when the big guy hit it all worked out perfect. the fellowship was great and you and Chris did a wonderful job. hope Chris got to his exam in time and made a good grade.I have went out with a lot of different boats and you did a great job. also thanks to my wife, letting me take our sons out fishing on our 37 wedding anniversity, thanks. Uncle Butch- Cousin Chris, I can only mirror the words that Bro. Perry has written to you allready. You guys are true friends first and a business team way down the list. You are always thinking of your charter party first and foremost and I cannot think of anyone else out there that can honestly claim that. I really cannot see myself fishing on another boat(although we have tried!). Once again I can only repeat what Perry wrote that we are glad you guys are honest, trustworthy, and dependable brothers that I am honered to call my friend. To anyone that reads this guestbook- don't make a mistake and try the rest- Capt Butch and Capt Chris are the best! Message Number: 360 - Saturday, May 2, 2009 20:48:37 PDT - United States ![]()
Captain Butch and Captain Chris, You guys did a great job on May 1st, I know the conditions weren't the best for fishing but with your abilities we managed to have a good day of fishing. Though we were booked for the Gulf Stream and really wanted to go there, you slowed the boat for a quick conference and duct tape repairs (due to a few monster waves) , and gave us a choice to hit some bottom fishing instead of going to the Gulf Stream and possibly hitting some rougher water than what we were already riding in, it was a tough choice to give up the Gulf trip, but that was the only time in the years I've known you that you have ever done that. The men debated for a few minutes and the fact that you were giving us this advice and choice played a big part in the decision not to go to the Gulf Stream. The rough water made for some challenging fishing but the fellowship with the two of you guys with the six of us, and the catch at the end of the day made it another trip to be labled a great memory and successful. Thanks for the skill and wisdom that the two of you have of the ocean. I am always confident in your abilities. This was a time that could have been labled miserable to say the least, and not just anyone could have made that trip a good one, but all six of us were pleased with the trip and are ready to see you guys in the Fall. The Yeah Right 2 is a great boat to be on. I missed seeing Admiral Bodie, but we all need to retire sometime. It was great hanging out with Captain Chris again. The new guys we brought this time were impressed to say the least with his work. I hope the economy picks up for us all so we can see more of the Yeah Right 2. Again thanks and we will see you as soon as our wives allow us to go again, they control the money flow. FISH ON!!! Take care, and God Bless Perry
