Being a parent/coach/board member of the West View/Ross Athletic Association I decided to take a trip down memory lane to show my son my roots in Little league baseball growing up in Brookline. As in all associations we do for our children "because somebody did it for us when we were kids". As I was a player back in 1962-1968 I can still hear Sam Bryen as he announced games from the window behind the plate on the old Little League field. You all have come a LONG way since those days and your efforts will be remembered by some young man or young lady who will do in kind for the next generation.

Will Brookline be hosting an all star tournament this summer? If so, what age groups?

The Pitch Hit and Run contest has been rescheduled for Saturday May 10,2008 because of the rain this past weekend. This gives you an extra week to practice hitting off a tee, running the bases and pitching to a target 46 feet away. GOOD LUCK TO ALL THE BOYS AND GIRLS who will participate

OK, now the Brookline Little League has a guestbook for parents and players to post their comments. All messages are screened before publishing. This is not a forum for airing your grievances. Let's keep this thing clean and see how it works. Hey, it's free so why not?
