Just wanted to send a shout out of love and support. I read of your Book Center on the Bootstrap Babes blog and wanted to let you know that my thoughts and prayers are with you as you rebuild your book store.

I am so glad to see that you guys are still going strong in the Crescent City. Before the Storm I frequented your store on St Claude, Broad St and Later Bayou Road, it is just a great place to be. I live in Nashville now and can you believe there is no black owned bookstore. Mother Jennifer turned me on to the autobiography of Assata Shakira, a book that has truly changed my life. Sister Assata's book was my first literary purchase after Katrina not for myself but for the people suffering around me. I wanted my people to read about overcoming obstacles with faith and perseverance. I want to thank you guys for your commitment to our community and I look forward to seeing you guys during Jazz Festival. Please keep doing what you do, God Bless you
