A huge well done on the first impression of the web site , its a credit to all involved, as past master of 166 (twice) and presenting my father with his 50 year jewel ( Wr Bro Joe Black) on my installation and later on in the same year presenting 5 more 50 year jewels. We also welcomed within our ranks another lodge which had to close due to lack of members , which in turn helped 166 to thrive , but sadly with the passing of my father lately and meeting up with some of the brethren which attended , lodge 166 is again struggling as with so many within the Belfast area and other places. I know your lodge room well and have one of the only 2 albums made of the refurbishment of Arthur Sq truly a lovely building and rooms still retaining the old character. My very best wishes to the officers and brethren of 651 now and for the future .

I was made a Master Mason in Belfast 257 at which time an uncle James Clarke was your Secretary.
My father James McEvoy was Master in 1936 and I have the pleasure of wearing the Past Master's Jewel presented to him for his year in office.

In May 1956 I emigrated to Canada to obtain work & am have now been retired from my employment as a Bank Manager since 1998.

I will not attempt to cover my almost 60 years in Masonry. For those who may be interested a visit my Website www.theeducator.ca will reveal my Masonic Biography.

Being in my 80th year & still in good health, I have been contemplating the fate of my JEWEL, which has a BAR attached to it recognizing my year as Master of Victoria Columbia No1.

I have been blessed with two wonderful daughters & no sons.
One grandson who is 16 years old today.

A thought I have is, upon my departing to the GLA that the Belfast 257 Jewel together with the
Falls Road Chapter No 226 be returned to their homes. Both are in excellent condition.

Here in Canada we take great pride in wearing Re-Cycled Jewels and glowing in the Heritage of same.

May I offer my best wishes to your Master & Brethren and request your thoughts on this matter.
