Glad to meet you! Your "Eugene Doremus" b.1838 was my gr. gr. grandmother's brother (Sarah Margaret Doremus, married James Haring; had dau. Libbie Haring, who m. Edwin Smith and had my mother, Isabelle Smith; who m. Bruce Ogden and had me.) I have a photo of them.

Jacobus (James) Bertholf/Martha Post was born Jacobus Bertholf but when he died, he died as James Bartholf.

The name change now becomes Bartholf for his descendents. James and Martha are my great-great-great
grandparents.

I found your Nowlin family tree on rootsweb and am hoping you can help me. I am trying to establish the link between Edward Ball (b. 1642 d. 1724) and Alling Ball, his father. There is some dispute with this father-son relationship and I am hoping you may have some sources and references you would share. I also see you have some excellent detail on their ancestors that includes middle names and birth/death detail. Would love it if you would be willing to share any sources you may have for any of them. I live in Salt Lake City and would like to eventually verify as much as I possibly can through records and the more I have to start with the easier it will be. I have also got descendents for Edward Ball (1642) that I am willing to share but have yet to verify (although others have it pretty well documented).

Do hope you can help and will be happy to do so in kind.
