We just completed the second run to Dawson and just want to drop a note saying what a great time we had. The trail was in awesome shape, kudos to the groomers. We liked what the folks at Chicken have done with the Goldpanner, looks great. And of course the crew in Dawson was fabulous. We appreciate all the hard work the Trailblazers put into this event every year and hope to be doing it for a lot more years to come. Thanks again.

Had a great time on the first run. Even though the Trailblazers had grooming problems, the trail was flat and smooth. With fewer people (only 94 on first run) hardly any moguls developed between Chicken and Boundary (the area most susceptable) Temps were as warm as 30 above at Boundary going over and about 10 above coming back. Coldest was 10-15 below in early morning only. Clear, sunny, no fog, ice fog and hardly any wind. Dawson folks did a great job and groomed all the way to the border buildings (terrible terrace is a piece of cake and side hill areas are non-existent!) Monna's hubby (the guy you'll never see) Nils did an awesome job! Thanks again to the Alaska Trailblazers for putting on a great event, especially including Pug and Bonita for sweeping on this run. If you've never done this before, I can tell you from experience, it's only gotten easier as the years go by! Average time, including stops are 5 1/2 to 7 1/2 hours. Make sure to bring more friends! Howard.
