i was 13 years old when i was placed in saint
agatha i was broken within my spirit unwanted by
my family i didn't know what to say or what to
expect i only hoped that no one would pick on me
but to my surprise every one was kind to me i met
other girls that where alot like me rejected and
wounded and looking for someone to love them it
wasn't easy to adjust i encountered problems when
i hanged out with the wrong crowd but i was just
discovering who i was i will always be grateful
for the emotional support of the counselors they
always game me advise there was a male counselor
who invited me to his home for dinner i cant
remember his name but i felt so special. that day
he didn't see me as a group home kid that no one
wanted he saw me as a person that can learn and
change i will always remember saint agatha and all
the counselors and children that i connected with
because it was a time when healing was taking
place in my life and even though i was still
longing to be home i realize that i w

I'm one of the older ones,when we use to pick the corn for our meals in the corn field where eventually the put the cottages.In fact i slept in the bed that a guy named G.Washington slep in the year before i got there.

I can' congratulate you enough for the fantastic job you've done. The chronology from Agalinks to this is wonderful and really explains what the title means - links - we are all linked to each other, and to our past, and the thousans of kis who came before us, at St. Agatha an oter homes. Like veterans, whatever war, whatever branch, whatever job, we share a unique experience with each other. We are family! Great job!
