Dan, your use of wood to convey motion and action is outstanding. Even the carving that I have, of the still kingfisher, is full of tension and I imagine him about to drop off his perch into the water. I have my piece on top of a rotating bookshelf and every time it gets turned I see another view of the bird and fish and pond lilies, from all angles it is wonderful.

How did you find my site?:  worldwide mission to see interpretive style carvings on the net
Comments:
It's a pleasure to view work of this caliber. I'm trying to have local carvers in Puerto Rico develop similar styles in the caribbean. Our flora and fauna are perfect sceneries for the way you describe the aerodynamics of a bird's flight through space. I would be highly honor if you may view and comment a piece I'd carved last year for a local show in the San Juan metro area. It's titled "Mother Red tailed hawks and baby hawks" Thanks again for encouraging us carvers in the interpretive style. You may see it At facebook.com/Ramon L Maldonado

Hi Dan, Just wanted you to know that Garth wrote a wonderful piece about your artwork that will be published in the next issue (spring/summer '10) of Teton Home and Living magazine. Also, we will be including your web-site address on the resource list. Hope the story generates even more interest in your beautiful work! Best regards, Jeanne Anderson, Editor, TH&L
