Hi fellow classmates. I and my sister Dee Ann grew up with a lot of you and went to school with you thru 1957, when we moved to San Angelo. Dee Ann graduated from San Angelo Central in 1960. I graduated in 1961. Uvalde was always our home. I finally got back to the area. Pat and I are retired and living in Barksdale. We celebrate 45 years of marriage this Nov. Two grown children and five grandchildren keep us mighty busy. Love to hear from you. Looking forward to seeing a lot of old friends at the reunion. Hey Alumni, UHSAA is trying to put another front end on this web site. Please go to http://uhsalumniassociation.ning.com/ to try it out. This is a social networking interface that allows our alumni to have their own page and have a much more personal exchange with their classmates. Try it, I think you will be pleased. I just attended the 100th anniversary celebration of UHS football. It was a great event and we got to see and listen to some of the great names in Uvalde football history. It was very well organized and we want to give special thanks to Buck Laning and all the folks in his organization who made it possible. The Coyotes have had a very memorable football history that is filled with many great players, plays and coaches. We have a great tradition and one that should continue forward into the next century of football here in Uvalde. The first 100 have been a great ride for all of us. Here come the Coyotes! I received my invitation to the 2009 All-Class Reunion today. I sent my registration form in immediately because I think the 500 person limit will be reached very quickly. I understand the newsletter was mailed to about 3000 folks. It's going to be another blast and one we can all enjoy. Please register now so you can be part of this special event for UHS Alumni. Sign up and I hope to see you there! Gary

UHSAA is going to have it's second All-Class Reunion on Homecoming weekend (Nov. 6-8) for all UHS Alumni. A newsletter containing the events schedule and invitation is scheduled to go out to all UHSAA members at the end of July. If you have a class reunion scheduled this year think about having it at this time. The first all-class in 2005 was a very popular event and everyone had a great time. So come see all your buddies that you knew during your time at UHS and have another good time along the way! Message Number: 15 - Thursday, June 25, 2009 11:17:34 CDT - United States ![]()
Gay Swint Memorial A memorial will be held for Gay Swint, Class of 1953, on August 1st at 5:00pm in Uvalde to celebrate Gay's life and to remember all of the good times we had with him. His passing was sad but that is not what he wanted us to remember. So think back to all of the good times you spent with Gay and come share them. All of Gay's many friends are invited.
