A series of published and to be published articles in the Uvalde Leader-News by Allene Saunders Mandry are very interesting. They are about Uvalde people and places that many UHS classes, including ours, have experienced. Those published are The El Lasso Theater (published on Sunday, June 19th) and The Hilltop Plunge (published Thursday, July 21). Future ones will be about West Main School and the piano teacher Mrs. Barber. These articles are in the Lifestyles section of the paper and you can get access to them by calling the ULN at 830-278-3325. The articles have quotes with experiences from our class and many others that will bring back many memories from our Uvalde past.

HELLO GARY, - UHS CLASSMATES 1959


Personally, I am thrilled we are having a UHS "JOINT" (1958, 1959 & 1960) REUNION, APRIL29 - May 1st, 2016 at GARNER PARK for fun, "GARNER PARK: WHERE THE MUSIC PLAYS ON" (all book sales benefit) THE FRIENDS OF GARNER STATE PARK"! Along with many of our great memorable songs playing on the Jukebox while dancing on the restored great dance floor! Hill Country dinining there, Neal's CONCAN , LEAKEY, and at LOS MAPLES! Sometime to for all to visit with each other, and revisit our favorite haunts over the years, and enjoy new eater/sites to boot! I plan to attend (possibly) Honey (hubby) too (GARY as you mentioned ) in you note! Let's work for a great turnout of our fellow classmates! See y'all on APRIL 29th - MAY 1st, 2016!
