It was such a pleasure speaking with you today on the phone Ken. I don't know how you keep going with life after loosing a child yet you have done it with grace and selflessness by helping other parents not suffer the same fate as you and your family!

Nearly 6 years ago this young mans decision to be an organ donor saved my life. Words cannot express the gratitude I have for Jonah and his family. Their generosity and strength has allowed me spend so many precious days with my three children and loving wife that would not have been possible. I now have a grandson, Carson, whom I would never have met. I am so thankful for Jonahs gift that continues to give me and others life, year after year, day after day, minute by minute, and breathe by breathe.
I have traveled from Maine to North Carolina to celebrate Jonah's life with his family twice and will attend this year. His whole family is made up of great people and I so enjoy our visits!
Having said this, I wish I never heard of Jonah Kelly King or his great family be cause we met through tragedy! A terrible tragedy, that is a parents worst nightmare. The simple task of snapping on a helmet may have changed his and his families history.

Jonah was my grandson. We had a special relationship that was based mostly on humor and picking on each other. I made a promise to think of him every day and It's one of the few promises I've been able to keep. I hope each person reading this will be able to help in some way, whether it be by a monetary contribution, a helmet purchase, or organ donation..after all we won't be needing them in the hereafter.
