Ok I guess I have to do it this way, I would rather do it on the forum but I guess not. If you know of other Coachmen from either Viet Nam or Germany I need to know where they are and how to contact them. So please contact me at the following telephone number, 859-866-9270. I don't care if they have access to a computer or not I will call them or send them a letter, all I need is an address or a number. Please help me out with the search. Remember we were and still are Royal Coachmen MASTERS OF THE TRADE.

On this Memorial Day Week End I would like to say Thank You to the Active Duty and ask each of you to take a moment between Bar-B-Que's and picnics to Honor our Fallen. Remember those that have Given the Ultimate Sacrifice for our Freedom. Be Safe and God Bless and Protect Our Military and their families.

Hello, i'm not sure i'm in the correct military unit here. Tell me if this is my unit if you can. I was in DaNang in Apr68 for a few days when Headquarters sent me to Phu Bai to be in a new unit called Corp Aviation Company Provisional. There were only a couple of other guys there waiting for the company to form. We bunked and messed with another unit until the seabees built our own compound which was on the end of the runway at the airport. Our unit was build on a gravesite. Several graves were moved to house all of our unit. As i remember, it was pretty much the only place with lots of trees. It was a helicopter unit mostly UH1Ds. We flew mostly VIPs. I was there for 10 months and then returned to DaNang for the last two months of my tour. Our Headquarters was at Marble Mountain. I spent the last 60 days living in a bunker at night because we seemed to be rocketed almost every night. I have pictures of what the unit started out looking like when it was being built. Even more as it grew. When i left, there were approx. 75 men in our unit. Pilots on one side of the unit and nco on the other. I don't recall us being known as the royal coachmen, however this looks like the unit i was in. Any info you can provide would be helpful. I live in Sherman Tx and am 60 years old. Regards, David Lynch

You all know that John Lawrence is right. We must be the ones to tell the history and just what we went through and what we did. GET HER DONE!!

It is good to see more Coachmen coming on line. I would like to encourage you to take part in the forum. This is your chance to record our history through your eyes; not have someone who was never there do it for you. See you in Branson.
