Greetings from Seattle, Wa. Wishing everyone at the Alumni Events best wishes and good health. I had planned on attending but my daughters job situation in Bellingham Wa changed and since we have had only 3 days of rain since May 1, I need to be here for this stretch to water my growing empire of plants and lawn requiring twice daily watering.

I repeat, 3 days of rain since May 1. We do not expect any significant rain till late October early November. July 30 will be 90 days since May 1. 3 rainy days, maybe 7 overcast days, the other 80 days are bright and sunny.

Once the rest of the country finds out that the California weather has moved north to Portland Or and Seattle Wa, then I predict population boom, AND HIGH HOUSE PRICES. everything HERE IS AS HIGH AS YOU WANT IT TO BE!

Not sure what happened but my last post was cutoff. Whatever, operator error I guess.

continuing with my thought;

Please keep those folks with various medical issues in your thoughts and prayers. I still believe when your time comes that hopefully heaven is as you thought it would be or better.

I have been fortunate on recent mornings to wake up and believe I was already there!

Now that I live in SEAHAWKS TERRITORY it is great thing unlike any sports thing I have ever experienced. So blessed to be a part of this. The SEAHAWKS are such a fun team to route for and the entire state is behind them like you would not imagine. They will win the superbowl again this year. Anyone that thinks different can feel free to bet me up to $1000.

Wishing everyone a safe and happy 2015!!!

GO HAWKS!!!

Greetings from sunny and below freezing temps in Bremerton, WA; a city just outside Seattle Wa.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish everyone a safe and Happy New Year. Hard to believe that 2015 will be a 40th reunion for those of us from the CCS Class of 1975.

I was saddened to hear that another friend/co-worker from the Shipyard passed away and he was several years younger than I. I value my health above all else. I try to walk at least 4-7 miles daily, make 2 stops. First at the Espresso stand at my turn around point approx 3 miles from my house and second at the starbucks another 3 miles from the turn around point, then a mile and half back home. This is all the exercise I do and just had a physical ad it is working for me. Being retired fully I have time for this. I socialize 3-4 times a week anywhere from 3-9 Bacardi and cokes. My friend drinks scotch and soda no ice along with her meds and it works for her also. I also indulge(weed)

Please keep those people with various health proble

I was hoping somebody has the year book of 1982 and could help me, I was in that year a tenth grader and I want to see my picture of that year. Does anybody who reads that have that year and could scan my picture in and send it to me? I almost died 3 yrs. ago and that is on my bucketlist. I would so appreciate it if you could do this for me. Thanks

This is the latest info I have received about Alex from his daughter, Joyce.

Alex continues to progress - slow, steady but inconsistent gains. Gains, nonetheless. He is desperately trying to communicate, so I am hopeful that is the next thing that begins to reappear.

He loved his letters & cards from the CCS (THANKS BARB & PAULINE). He would smile, laugh & point to the next card /letter to be read aloud. I actually think the other residents liked them as well as we sat in a common area & read them aloud, fun.

I am trying hard to keep up with everyone... please pass on to others as I am sure I am inadvertently missing people - he has so many really nice friends - tough to not miss someone!!

I hope all is well with everyone - thank you all again for the support through letters, calls, emails - it is really appreciated.

This from Joyce

Alex DeVito is again very ill. Those that wish to send a card please sent to:

15 Dartmouth Dr, Delran, New Jersey 08075

His daughter will take any cards received and take them to him on a daily basis and read them to him at the hospital or rehab facility.

My CCS and Alumni friends.
This past year has had for me it's up's and down's. I did a lot of "punting", an understatement.
However I'm doing fine and once more on the road to recovery. I pray our Good Lord lets it continue.
I would like to wish all my CCS classmates and Alumni friends, a very healthy happy Christmas and New Year. We seem to take so much for granted when we shouldn't. I think my new year resolution should and will be, "Not to take "anything" for granted." The rest,ha, go's without saying and should come natural.?
If any one would like to chat? You have my e- address, I'd love to hear from anyone of you. I hope to see you all again in July of 2014 at our Alumni get together.
May God Bless us all and we stay under "His" protective wing and in "His" Good Grace. I remain your friend, class and school mate.
Sincerely Alex DeVito, class of "56"

My friends. In the game of football, when a team gets in trouble, "they punt".
Well my team, The DeVito's, is in trouble, so Im going to punt as any team would do, and hope in the future, I'll get close to the goal line and be able to score a good recuperation?? Since my bride left me, my heart has acquired a heart murmur, I think trying to say "I miss you Janie, I miss you". So, it has been scheduled for a by-pass and new heart valve, because people who know better say, "it is getting worse"? This means much to my disappoint, that I shall miss our Alumni reunion. Believe me when I say, I'm not worried one bit. But am worried for the 3-4-maybe 6 months healing process they say it may take?? Go figure!! So my friends, if you would like to pray for me, pray for this, "that the good Lord gives me the patience, to withstand this timely recuperation", my biggest problem, believe it??
I sincerely thank you all for listening, and maybe see you in 2014??
I remain, sincerely, Alex DeVito class of "56"
