Hi; Hello from Western Washington. We are in the middle of a "extreme"cold weather snap. Temps have been below freezing; around 25 for a week strait. Black ice causing some good thrills or not so good.
I returned from good old Cambridge on 20 December. I had another fabulous trip back home. Arrived on the 9th and snow on the 11th 8 inches. I also would like to say what a great season the CCS Football Team had.
I spent some quality time hour and a half "In Meghan's World" MV is a LMT who works with Gail and Kerry at Two Top Hairstyling(Used to be Kinnin's Drug Store) on main street near the big church. I give her a 5 star rating. I am a tough critic and have had similar services all over the world literally!!!Anyway if you are in need, backache, shoulder pain, knee pain, headaches whatever. I highly recomend her services. She is very professional and offers her service in downtown Cambridge.
After the snow, I drove all around and everywhere is like a postcard shot with the snow covering all the tree's and the sun shining. I love the cold weather in December before Christmas. Probably get's old by February but in December cold and snow makes for a very romantic time. Same thing out here. No one wants to be alone when it is cold and drearey. Also a good time to frequent your favorite Bar or Pub.
My 10 days went by so fast. I did spend time with my family and friends which is always my plan and even met some new friends which is also kind of neat. All of us remember the Cambridge that we grew up with no matter how old you are. I always find it abit interesting in talking to new people in the area. Some have there own quite different ideas how this rural "hamlet"should be.
I am not a big fan of the spring bike races. Seems to me it benefits a very few and is a huge inconvience to many. From what I know out here is that these people are sponsored; bring and eat there own food and drinks and other than possibly booking stays at local hotels; they spend very little money in the places they race at. Just my opinion. I wonder to myself how much money this Mr Drake fellow makes from these races. I would feel better if he donated every penny to the CCS Alumni Scholarship Fund, or possibly to the CCS Sports Equipment Fund.
I even had a pleasant flight back from Albany. Sat next to a really nice "hot" girl from Troy, NY and we talked all the way to Detroit. Since I knew her destination and we both had 3 hour layovers, I tracked down her terminal/gate. We had lunch together and have kept remotely in touch. Maybe we will get together my next trip.
Hope everyone had a very Happy New Year. I hope everyone to be in good health and spirits. I am looking so forward to my next Cambridge Trip maybe in May to do some trout fishing.
Take Care!!!

I don't know if I have ever been to an Alumni Holiday Basketball Tournament but, because of the Alumni Association involvement, did attend both nights this year. What a great event. There were 45 participants and they all played to win. I said that it was inhumane and unkind (jokingly) that they had the oldest playing against the youngest. The second night they played even harder. What fun they all seemed to be having. The after-game celebration at Albie's was well attended and the food was great. Brent does a wonderful job with the organizing of the event. More should come to play and to watch.
