I am from the Wanabee Tribe we are Indians on the week end, but Monday mourning we are back to our real job. I like the survial part of American Indian Life. How to make something from almost nothing, and how to live off the land. It makes one realize how lucky we are to have a abudance of food and clothing. So this is were the carving comes into my week end hobby. We try to make our own tools.

Gene & Lori, "Excellent wood carvings!" As I've already stated above, "All of them have their own uniqueness. So it would be very hard to chose just one, to be a favorite." Lori, we have been friends for approximately 38 years and I never would of guessed that you'd become a wood carver, a very talented one, I might add. Your wood carving of the 'red-tailed hawk' is extraordinary and the detail made it seem so 'life-like' that even Geppetto would be proud of your work. Gene, your wood carvings are A-1. It's like an indian spirit was in the wood and as you carved, you gave it life by giving it a face. Awesome!
