Wonderful memories all these years later. Of course I liked the horseback riding best even though one of the testy horses would get rid of his little rider by sidling up to a tree and rubbing - often catching the rider's leg!!! I recall awfully cold Huron water for swimming, archery, the old pump organ in the dining hall and Virginia DeGrafenreid, the Director. I enjoy the website very much. The camp has gotten so very sophisticated since my time there.

Dear Amy Goodwin,
My sister and I attended Camp Cavell back in the 1960’s. Several summers we got to stay for a whole month and we both have such wonderful memories . Now we both have grandchildren and we would love to share the story of “The Tadger” with them but we can’t find the book. This story had such an impact on both of us as it was read around the campfires at dusk and helped us use our imaginations. Can you send me information on how I can find this book please? I am most grateful and thank you in advance for your time and any help you can give me.
