Hey there Gerard,

Gerard Gardens my grandma lived there and I often visited her I lived in Norris Green on the boot estate and I had to go on the bus on my own and it was a hell of a long journey when I was a kid. All the people were great and always made me feel welcome except for one gingerhaired lad who used to bully me his name was Alan and the funny thing is I bumped into to him in the Sportsman in the town centre years later and we became friends. I really do love the site mate and the variation great photos great anecdotes from the plug in bit and Bill Harry I got his book the other day and hopefully I'll get Tony Bolland's book for xmas in my stocking.

tarah for now

Ronnie

Well Ged you have nipped it, portrayed our great City through your lens, the pictures are as precise as Torbo's short back n sides. An eclectic mix of past, present and future, a story without words, none needed. Keep up the good work- it is community spirit not forgotten, what the Copper Kettle is all about, people passionate about a City that has a heritage and historical meaning. Words can win wars, but pictures relay a different story, meaningful, sincere and more importantly true. Eat ye heart out David Bailey Ged Fleming A.K.A Dandy Pat is on the loose- we will let you loose with a lens anytime in Liverpool- truly fantastic.

A bright buttered scone welcome and a Majesty Wave goodbye with White Satin Gloves on, from all of the gang at the Copper Kettle.

Hi Gerard

I have looked at your site a couple of times and I was made up to see the pics of Phil Jones I used to watch him with Next on the Sportsman all those years ago with me judy on me arm and a pint of carling black label. I also was interested to see the plug in thing I didn't know there was a book out about the 1970's looks great. It a very different site and I haven't seen anything like it before your collection of photos are great and it makes a change from the usual formal crap as it is coming from all different era's and it makes you feel good about the Liverpool we know the people the places and the buildings well done mate you have done us proud.

Best.

Steve

Hiya Ged

Great site me old flower, haven't seen a lot of the places since I left Liverpool in the 70's you have brought back really fond memories. There are many places I remember (nearly a beatle song there!) Bill Harry's collection also a great memory tickler and Tony Bolland's plug inn I remember Colin Ayreety a wonderful singer and Elliot great harmony band I have one of their records. The docks and the beautiful girls and people of Liverpool (there all ugly here in Canada, only joking they are equally as beautiful!!) Keep up the great work and I'll be getting a calender soon I'm over with my daughter in sunny Liverpool (lol) at the moment and I go back on tuesday but it's been great getting to see the changes and Liverpool One.

Frank

Hi Gerard

Lovely photographs that bring back lovely memories I went to the launch of Tony Bollands book at the cavern in 2006 and I am glad to see he is writing another. Bill Harrys section is really fantastic and all the photographs of the Liverpool areas are really wonderful especially the photographs in the snow. I used to go out to the clubs and pubs you have mentioned on your main page and my friends and I would always end up in Tiffanys after visiting the Sportsman and Star and Garter it is a small world we probably bumped in to each other in some of the places without knowing each other. Looking at Tonys photographs I now seem to remember him he was a good looking fella (my husband will kill me if he sees that). Anyway I love your site and I have told everyone about it and I like the latest addition of Liverpool Girls they are by far the best looking girls in world Liverpool girls well done on your collection of Liverpool life through the lens.

Lots of love

Mandy Morrison x

Hiya Gerard

Great site and brill photies...I also found your site through Tony Bolland he was very complimentary about it I just had to look at it. Tony is a good skin and he has brought back very fond memories of the 70's through his book and I know many people say the same. After looking at your great site I feel the same about it, it is really great what you have going here without the the photies to collaborate the past...what is history? Just words!! Keep up the great work and to all the other contributers especially Tony Bolland, Bill Harry, Jim Malone and your good self love all the photies. Well done and 'please sir can we have some more!!!'

Regards

Tommy

G'Day Gerard,

Thank you for letting me know you had uploaded the Liverpool in Snow Album. What a delight it was to see page after page of photographs that are so vivid one can feel the cold, the wind and the snowflakes settling on the face. This Album with the others certainly deserves accolades. The inclusion of two photographs in Livepool Calendars is well justified and I think many of the shots should be made into Christmas Cards.

On another Liverpool forum I was inspired to write stories about two of your older photographs, you have now inspired me to write about some of your Liverpool Snow pictures.

thanks a millon for the memories you brought back to me of my Liverpool Days in winter.

Danny Windever (Australia)

Hello there Danny boy.

Thanks for getting in touch Dan..I hope all is well in OZ mate..as I mentioned in the Email the other day, feel free to show any of my pictures on the Liverpool forum you visit..I know there are a lot of ex pats on there...if they enjoy them as much as you Danny then I've accomplished what I set out to do..

I've read your stories about my photographs Dan..and I can only say I am honoured and proud mate that you think so much of them to make up the beautiful touching verses you did...
I'll pop in there to see what your new stories are about relating to my Snowing in Liverpool photos....

Thank you very much Danny...I hope you look in again sometime..

God Bless..

Gerard.
