My late Grandfather Norman Kilner was a lifelong member of the Barnsley Lodge and used to tell me of the Grand Camps he had attended. Somewhere in the family members someone has possession of his sash with Grand Camp badges attached to it. |

I am a past Grand Present 2007 of N.Z.Sub Council Grand Council. I have received The Origins and Developement of the Royal Antediluvian Order of Buffaloes Volume 111 and after read my way through it I went searching on the Internet for further information and came across this site. I was initiated into GLE in 1962 and in 1995 interaffiliated to Grand Council and progressed through their Grand Lodge and Knights Chapter and Sub Council receiving the position of Grand President October 2006 become the president for 2007. I have a Silver jewel that was isured to one Brother R Preston in October 1892 in the Golden Fleece Lodge No 614 and in designated as a propaganda Medal and is hall mark Silver. I have search the internet but have been unable to find reference to this lodge its Banner and Area. Hope some one will read and enlighten myself to its origin. many thanks Graham Gradner. R.O.H. Both G.C. and G.L.E. |

I am the grandson of David James Collins who was the manager of the theatre in Spennymoor but sadly died in 1913. I understand that he was a member of the Golden Horn. He was also a Freemason and his Lodge was Newcastle. |

Lovely to see this page. I have a certificate just like the one on your website stating that my grandfather was made a Companion of the No.24 Whitworth Encampment Spennymoor in 1925. Most interesting. Thanks. |

I am a Hull Freemason and find the history fascinating. It is a great shame that there is not a group in Hull as I would very much like to join. |
