Hi, I love your site. My Great Uncle was a Corporal in the 26TH Yankee Division. He never spoke of the war to anyone. I was only 9 when he died in 1964 but,I still remember him well. My Father told me that whenever anyone ever asked him to tell a story about being over there, he would just look off in the distance and say..." I came home". I can just imagine the horrors he'd seen.

Thank you for the wonderful site! my dad and i found
an old photo, and through moths of research and the
help of your site, we've found that he was a soldier
in the 3rd army, Pvt. Frederick (that's all we have
unfortunately.)
