Dick Wagner saved my father’s life! I will always be grateful to Dick Wagner for sharing his NPH (Normal Pressure Hydrocephalous) Story. My husband read his story on yahoo news back in 2013 and because of that my father is alive today! Keep telling your story, it is such an important one!

I went to high school with Dick and remember him playing the guitar in school talent shows and he was good then. I had the pleasure of running around for a short time in a circle of musicians in a band Dick had formed, I beleive it was called the Invictas. I was fortunate enough to go with them to a place called Devils Lake a few times and see Dick Play for some top stars there. I was not a musician and soon drifted away from the group to follow other pathes.

You will be missed Dick!

I worked in a band named Crystal Ship in 1972 at The Flying Machine in Fort Lauderdale Florida. We shared the stage with Ursa Major 6 nites a week alternating sets. We were blown away by Ursa Major. I can still recall hearing Dick's tune, In my darkest Hour. His voice was just brilliant as well as his guitar playing. He was the king of taste that was evident in his songs, guitar playing and that voice, man oh man, that voice!!! Dick was kind to us and a real gentleman. We partied bigtime nite after nite. Afterall it was te 70's and we were in south Florida. I was only 20 years old in 72 and I will never forget the Flying Machine gig with Ursa Major. What a treat. It is sad that Dick is gone but he is CERTAINLY not forgotten.

I grew up in Saginaw and was lucky enough to have Dick give me guitar lessons for a while in early 1965. The manager of the band I was in at the time knew Dick and somehow coerced him into taking me on. I'll never forget the generosity and skills he shared with me. He had an energy in his playing and his life that he passed on to me. An indescribable gift.

I vow to carry on with what he taught me.

Here's to the tenor A banjo string.

Thank you and God bless you Dick.
