I write through tears in my eyes! I am a Folger by marriage, and an Islanderder by heart. I can smell that saltyness that is such a part of Nantucket in your photos.
We are Folgers from surfside. Grandpa Joseph was married to Marion, related to Anna Coleman Folger who had graduated from Nantucket High School at the turn of the centruy.
We could chat for days!

Hi Coralynn;
This is the first time I realized I could type in a state
on the Genforum looking for people that might need answers.
I spotted Nantucket and had to check it out. Nice job !!. I
live in Dartmouth, Ma. When I got married back in the 60's,
honeymooned at the other end of Nantucket.
Is that geat resturant still out there ??/...can't remember
its name. but was fantastic. I also went to college with a
friend who also lived out in that area. Have been back
twice (many years ago) The whole Island is fantastic. Your
pictures really hit my heart.

My family....John and William Weeks started out in the
1600's at Falmouth and Edgartown. My side was John who had
a farm on one of the Elizabeth Islands. He was also a
teacher to the Island Indians.

I think William eventually went to Nantuket and his
information was never followed further. ??? Woops got to
run...my daughter just poped in.
