Man did we have a good time in Kerrville at the Big Folk 2009 extravaganza!! Thank You for the mini-concert at our camp across the street! Then to get to see you again at Uncle Calvins in Dallas with Jonathan Byrd was great. I hope to follow that up with your monday night appearance at the starlight in Terlingua! I am not sure Ruby and I can pull off the Starlight, but I am working on it. Anyway Charlie & Ruby from Cresson, TX wish you happy trails!

When I first met you YEARS ago ... we were like oil and water. I wanted to save my baby brother from this obviously crazy irreverant man!! Well ... I've come to realize my baby brother always had more heart than his older sister and could better see the true value of man. I'm thankful for that ... and for the music the two of you have made together over the years. You have been a good friend to our Robar and I pray, a few hundred years from now, you both sing your way into to heaven!!

Hey there Claude, It looks like things are going pretty good for you. I haven't written to you for some time because I have been busy writing some songs and trying to record them. I have about eight of them that I think will be pretty decent. I sure miss those times we played together in Baumholder, Germany, and everytime I play one of the CD's that you sent me it reminds me of why we got along together wo well. You still have that sense of humor that you had over there and of course the creative talent that you have always had. Sometimes I think about how long ago that was because in October I will be 61 and we were only 19 over in Germany. Your Friend, Ed Thomas (Stormy Monday)

Hello Claude, I really enjoyed your songs at Mrs. Haass' funeral. I didn't get to go to Sherry Downing's funeral for some reason and I know you sang and had a much larger part there which I thought was really a great thing for you to do--she was always a favorite of mine--she liked me, too except when I would ask her where Stanley Ehlinger was--then she would come back with, "You knucklehead!". I just was E-mailed the song, "Eddie", by Kenny Williams and am going to pass it on to everyone who knows or has known Eddie. I really enjoyed it--certainly better late than never. Take care. Tommy
