A couple friends and I took a 4 day trip from Virginia Beach, VA last May 2009 initially intending on going to "The Dragon". A gentleman who works at Southside Harley Davidson in Virginia Beach told me about a stretch of road called the "Snake". We decided after we were done with the dragon that we would try to find it. After some wonderful directions from a cleaning lady at a motel in Bristol, TN, we had an awsome ride on "The Snake" on the 14th of May. I much prefer "The Snake" over "The Dragon" any day! We are preparing to do it again this May 2010 with hopefully more riders.
