Hello, I'm putting on a Veteran's Run and Concert for July 17 and 18th, 2010 in Calaveras County just east of Wilseyvile. You can check our web site at www.bluemountainpresents.com for more information. The web site is being up-dated weekly and any "feed-back" is appreciated. This is my first go-around with promoting a concert and I'm hoping for a good turn-out. This will be a private Event for Veterans, their Spouse and Friends of Veterans. The Event will be held on my Family's private property. The July Event will have a Local VFW "no-host" bar, BBQ lunch dinner on Saturday, breakfast and lunch on Sunday, camping in a green meadow, raffle and a fund raiser drawing on a Marine Veteran Artist's wood sculpture. Rock, Blues and California Country music for Saturday and Sunday. The Event will benefit the Local VFW Local, Volunteer Fire and BACA. More events will be scheduled if I survive the first........ These events will always benefit good causes. This private (behind locked gate) "fee based" Event Center will be open to groups and clubs for summer & fall events including Runs, Meet and Greets, Concerts, and Camp-outs etc. We'll always have discounted rates for Veteran Groups. Hope to hear from you - Thanks! Steve Bowman VN Vet 66-67 stevebowman@surewest.net

I'm the Commander of the Rio Vista VFW, and a PGR rider. The riders participated in, and were a big part of the great success in last years Memorial Day Ceremonies here in Rio Vista. The VFW and the American Legion are again the sponsors for this years gathering. Monday May 31st parade begins at 10:15 AM, ceremony at 11:00 to Noon and food/drink to follow. I would like to invite you and the Distric 9 riders to our town for this years community event. The Rio Vista Chamber of Commerce has gratefully taken over the permits ect. for us. There is going to be an actual approved parade with The Rio Corvette Club, Windy City Riders, Delta Drifters Classic Cars and many military participants. Travis AFB, the Sea Cadets, Coast Guard, Marines, you know the drill. This is shaping up like a really great area event! Could you pass the word, and contact me for any additional information needed. There will be a BBQ, live music, and a live broadcast of the entire event from 91.5 FM Radio Rio. Call me or e-mail for info. 408-234-0507 cell 707-225-8996 VOIP

To All Honor Run supporters; This is a call to additional action by all those who support the Honor Run and who support the right of Americans to fly the American Flag!!! On Friday of this week, ABC News will be doing a story on the Honor Run’s effort to fly 1,000 American Flags along Interstate 5 in California over the Labor Day Weekend and during the Honor Run’s ride through California. This has never been done before in the State of California. Three years ago the State of California told me I would be arrested for placing 350 American Flags along this same stretch of Interstate. I was told “if we let you fly the American Flag then we would have to let Sadam Hussein fly his flag”. I told them “go ahead and arrest me”. Fortunately the Marine Corps came to the rescue and let us plant the flags one inch inside the Camp Pendleton fence line clearly visible from the Interstate. Once again this year the State of California has denied us the right to plant an American Flag along the Interstate. ABC News has seen fit to do a report on the absurdity of the fact that the state would deny COMBAT VETERANS the right to plant an American Flag on American soil. We need all of you to go to www.firstgiving.org/gratefulpatriot1 and make a $20.00 donation to sponsor a flag. If you have already done this please do it again. ABC News will by showing this page on their segment as a way to motivate other patriots around the country to stand up and tell the State of California how we feel. ALSO, I AM PLEADING WITH EACH OF YOU TO FORWARD THE LINK www.firstgiving.org/gratefulpatriot1 to a minimum of 5 friends asking them to personally support this effort. If we can get the State of California to stand up and take notice of what we want to do by showing the depth of grassroots support we have it will be a great day for all patriots around the nation. Please go on line and just donate 20.00 bucks and pass it on to five friends. EVERY DOLLAR YOU DONATE WILL GO TO SUPPORT THE CONSTRUCTION OF A FISHER HOUSE AND TO PROVIDE SCHOLARSHIPS FOR THE CHILDREN OF OUR FALLEN AND WOUNDED WARRIORS. SEE WWW.THEHONORRUN.ORG FOR DETAILS.
