Hi Hannah, thanks for your message. It’s lovely that you thought of contacting Sam when wanting advice on entering the business - we're sure he'd be very flattered by that! Unfortunately, we’re an unofficial site run by fans so not officially connected to Sam, but he does visit and post in the guestbook from time to time so hopefully he’ll see your message at some point. Maybe the people for whom you did your work experience at the BBC could give you some advice? Sam and Mark entered the business in a bit of an unconventional way, gaining TV exposure through competing in Pop Idol and then being offered a presenting job a few months later, therefore their experiences would be a bit different to most people starting out in the business. Hey Sam My names Hannah Jackson, just been watching This Morning and got me thinking I should message someone in the business! Just finished some work experience at the BBC and it was awesome, and trying now to get my foot in the door, hard work isn't it! Would also love to get into presenting too, fingers crossed my Drama Degree will help me out there :) Just wondering if you're the right person to have a chat with about this or not? Just wanted some advice really and if you're around in London whether you or anyone could have a chat and give me any tips? I'm 23 so scarily starting to think I need to get in there soon! Thanks for that lovely message Peter! I'm sure all of us on here remember Level Up - it was a fantastic show and all you experts and the gamers brought something special to it! It certainly sounds like you had lots of fun and it must've been such a great experience. You're right about Sam signing this Guestbook sometimes so hopefully he will see your message at some point. Hello, For those who remember Level Up, Sam and Mark's CBBC breakfast show from 2006, I was the animal expert on that. Yep, the little 12 year old who gave tips on pet care and cleaned out penguins at London Zoo felt nostalgic and found this on google. I see Sam has been signing this guestbook a fair few times, so can I just say thank you and everyone else who was involved in Level Up so much for what was one of the best times of my life, absolutely brilliant. I'll especially remember smuggling out croissants from the hotel on the morning of my first show for you and Mark! I was absolutely gutted to hear to it wouldn't be returning for a second series, as I was really looking forward to presenting from that studio for a second time. So I'll take this as my oppurtunity to say just what an amazing time it was! :) Peter, the Level Up Animal Expert.
