The other day I was complaining to my friend about how the 80s movie North Shore doesn’t show any women surfing (I love that movie but for real.. ever notice that not a single woman even touches the water?). Anyways then my friend dropped a bomb on me that her aunt was best friends with Rell Sunn and that she talked about how often they were the only two women surfing outside of Waikiki and charging big waves at the time.
