Just finished "A Whisper to the Living". One question: In this book it is mentioned that Rostnikov and Sara have only one child, Joseph. In a previous Rostnikov mystery a daughter in mentioned and her two children. The children stay with the dective and his wife, Sara. Kindly ascertain if this is correct. Kaminsky was a superior mystery writer. Was this book written by a "ghost writer" and did I miss Elena's secret? |

I am sorry that I didn't know that Stuart had passed on. I was recommending him as a read for an actor that I know and when I went up on line to get info I saw his obituary. I am very sorry for your loss. A few years back I wrote him a note thanking him for his wonderful books. I am a professional actor and I told him about my turn in GONE BABY GONE as Roberta Trett. He was gracious and menschish. May he be Most Happy in Paradise. If I had money I would contribute to your documentary. Please publicize it more so that people will know about what you are trying to do. A FB page perhaps? Please keep me in the loop....maybe at some point I can help. I would be happy to. All My Best, Sincerely, Trudi Goodman

Currently re-re-reading all the Kaminsky novels. They are as good as the first time I read them. The sign of good story telling. |

I was so sorry to hear of Mr. Kaminsky's death. His writing and his characters were a continuing delight. Inspector Rostnikov was my first love and favorite, but I just re-read Lieberman's Choice and the last line pierced my heart. Mr. Kaminsky must have been filled with compassion. |

I loved Stweart's books. I have laughed with some and enjoyed all. He got me "hooked" with just one book (Dancing in the Dark)and from then on I had to find more. I felt the same with his Liberman Series. Stewart's Toby Peters series made me feel like I really wanted to meet Toby and his mention of the "old fashion" products used back in the 40's was a wonderful rememberence,of things gone by. I almost wish I was an adult then. What a writer and person, you will be missed and you are still loved!!!
