I have a suggestion on advertising horseshoe pitching within your community. There is a website nationwide called "Meetup.com". You can actually start a meetup group in your local area as it is currently for hiking, snow shoeing and other meetup groups. I think there is a 9.95 monthly charge for doing the site and you as an organizer select a day and number of people allowed to participate and I believe the time and day of the activity. You may or may not charge people that are interested in joining as long as this is mentioned up front. Just throwing out a suggestion on possible ways of getting people interested in Horseshoe Pitching.

During the delegates convention this year at the World tournament David Sidles was elected as our new Sec/Treas for the NHPA and taking David Sidles place as 3rd VP will be our own Jerry Smith. The 3rd VP position is over the sanction league program so I congratulate Jerry on his newly acquired position and wish him well with it.

During the second week of play at the 2014 world tournament held in Buffalo, NY two Idaho Pitchers placed in their respective class and brought home some $$$. Gary opper placed 4th in his class while Art Ross placed 7th in his class. A congratulations to all Idaho participants, hope to see evryone at State Singles in Coeur d'alene on August 23rd & 24th.
